It was such a blessing to come across a post my dear and sweet cousin Elise from
Elise's Pieces had linked up to.
{BTW a little off subject - Elise is the one that designed my blog so if you are looking for a blog designer who is quick and amazing at embracing your style then be sure to check her out}
I followed the link Elise had posted and found Small Business month.
It was at that moment I was hooked.
All of the posts that she writes, the people that she interviews, the advise that she shares
and the challenges that she gives instantly lift and inspire me.
First I want to share some quick takeaways from some very inspiring business owners:
I learned that Social Media is Huge and although I already use it...I can step it up a notch
and really use it as much as possible to reach millions of people out there!
Have an end goal on the forefront of your mind!
There is no growing in a comfort zone and no comfort in a growing zone!
Stay consistent and let your unique personality shine through.
Don't let your business run you - set limits!
Sacrifice is a must for success.
- Thanks to Ashley from The Shine Project
Leave comments often and make friends with other bloggers' and business owners.
Keep your inventory fresh and stay up with trends.
Be a good person and good things will follow.
-Thanks to Heather from {Just.lovely.things}
Write down your goals and keep them nearby.
Challenge yourself to create new ideas and products.
You can teach yourself anything you put your mind to.
Don't dwell on others - focus on yourself and what you need to do.
-Thanks to Gussy Sews
These lessons are seriously amazing and I have already started to strengthen my blog and business but what sticks out to me the most is the way I have felt INSPIRED!
My blog and my small business will be changing directions and BIG changes will be
happening very shortly. This is all because of the inspiration I have felt while reading the
amazing posts over at Small Business Month. I feel like I have looked at small business's and
my blog in a different perspective than ever before. It's a GOOD different!
My blog will be getting a new name - a name that is mine and I can own
so I can take this blog and my business to the next level.
{I feel heart2heart is too common so I don't have copy rights to it}
It will be a name/brand that exemplifies a little bit more of me
as well as totally encompasses my personality and my Platform that I hope to turn
into a nonprofit organization. {More info coming soon}
But this is a HUGE RISK for me, it is a risk because people have come to know my
blog as Heart2Heart, it is a risk because my whole heart will be diving into this
change and as much as I see the hope and belief in this idea, I can not predict the results
that I will get back in return.
I have an etsy shop but it is empty! So changes are coming where I hope to have
it full by the end of the week with a variety of different items!
{So keep checking back}
I had one item listed in my etsy shop but I sold it BECAUSE of Small Business Month.
I would have never had these ideas or the full and honest belief in myself that I
needed to take my business and blog further if it were not for
Small Business Month.
I am inspired. I am happy. I am motivated. I know where I want to go. I know what I
want to do. I know I can make a difference. I believe in myself.
I may be scared but I am taking a leap of faith because that is what a smart business owner
would do!
